GENTICO was presented in November 2016 by UNIMER and kölbi, across five stages: desk research, expert interviews, ethnographic interviews, 1,802 face-to-face interviews with Costa Ricans aged 12 to 80, and strategic recommendations. Given the historical events that shaped Costa Rica and the population groups they reached, the study concludes that global theories about generations do not match local reality in terms of dates or periods, nor in people's attitudes, behaviours and interests.
